Retinal Detachment surgery
Retinal Detachment surgery
A retinal detachment is a very serious problem that usually causes blindness unless treated.
Macular Hole surgery
Macular Hole surgery
The macula is the part of the retina responsible for acute central vision, the vision you use for reading, watching television, and recognizing faces.
Epiretinal Membrane surgery
Epiretinal Membrane surgery
The retina is a layer of light-sensing cells lining the back of your eye. As light rays enter your eye, the retina converts the rays into signals.
Retina vein occlusion (RVO)
Retina vein occlusion (RVO)
Retinal vein occlusion (RVO) is a blockage in a small blood vessel that carries blood away from your retina.
Age Related Macular Degeneration
Age Related Macular Degeneration
Age-related macular Degeneration (AMD) is a common eye condition and a leading cause of central vision loss among people age 50 and older.
Diabetic Eye Disease
Diabetic Eye Disease
Diabetics cannot use or store sugar properly due to lack of endogenous insulin. High blood sugar can damage the blood vessels of the retina.
Eye Trauma surgery
Eye Trauma surgery
Infections from eye wounds can even be caused by a baby’s fingernails or a tree branch.
Management of Complications of Cataract Surgery
Management of Complications of Cataract Surgery

Problems that vitreoretinal surgeons see include but are not limited to diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disease, retinal detachment, retinal tears, macular holes, trauma, complicated cataracts and endophthalmitis.

- Vitreous hemorrhage
- Infection inside your eye
- Severe eye injury
- A hole in the central part of your retina (macula hole)
