Dr Emmanouil Mavrikakis is an award-winning ophthalmologist and a vitreoretinal surgeon with worldwide recognition.

Dr Mavrikakis has been recognized by the American Academy of Ophthalmology with the Achievement Award (2010) and by the American Society of Retina Specialists with the Honors Award (2011) for his contributions to their scientific,educational and research program.

Dr Mavrikakis has expertise in the following areas including retinal detachment surgery, macular hole surgery, epiretinal membrane surgery, vitreous hemorrhage, retinal vascular diseases, age related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, eye trauma surgery and management of complications of cataract surgery.
